Paul has spent 43 years in the business travel industry, the first 27 of which were with American Express in a variety of roles ranging from customer service delivery to sales. He then spent 13 years as General Manager, Sales for Virgin Atlantic.
Paul Wait joined the GTMC as Chief Executive in January 2013 and heads up an organisation whose members account for more than 80 per cent of the business travel spend in the UK. During the short time he has been onboard membership has increased by more than 10 per cent, likewise the recruitment of GTMC partners.
Since arriving at the GTMC Paul’s mantra has been ‘Travel is an investment not a cost’; companies must invest in travel if they wish to see their businesses grow.
